Note the absence of the word “Trocken.” This wine is in fact on the dry side of feinherb but I’d just as soon leave the whole
question of sugar off the label, you know? It’s just freaking perfect Riesling, as you indicated when you ordered more than three
times the amount we had available. This is a custom-bottling, the Germans being pathologically averse to sweetness unless it is
grotesque and overdone, and we upped the quantity this year. One taste and you’ll see why.
The wine is perfect. Everything a crazy-ass delicious and perfectly dry-enough Riesling could ever be. Top of its class! – Terry Theise
