Deep purple (reflecting that good slug of Mourvèdre). Terrific aromas of liquorice, cinnamon and herbs - a real sense of the garrigue, the herby scrub around the vineyards. Classic mélange of red and black fruits, backed with just enough tannin for grip, but not obtrusive. Lots of peppery spice. Fine, red fruit finish, hinting at raspberry jelly and Turkish delight. Decant if you drink soon - it really benefits from exposure.
